Documents required for a commercial vehicle in India
Every commercial vehicle on the road needs a set of current documents. Missing or expired papers mean fines and off-road vehicles. Use this checklist and track renewals.
The core vehicle documents

Driver documents
Each driver needs a valid commercial driving licence, and often a driver badge and police verification depending on the operation and state. Verify these at onboarding and re-check before expiry.
